Team Challenge
Participating in an athletic event can be a real challenge, and fundraising can be even more daunting. Challenges always seem less difficult when we work as a team. Gallop 4 the Greenways makes it easy to get your friends, family and co-workers involved to support you. Our Team Challenge is open to businesses, families, civic clubs, running groups or just friends.
This challenge isn’t about who runs the fastest. Instead, we reward the teams that raise the most money for the Greenways, and turn out the most participants. We’ll count any participants in our various events — the 5K Race, the new Bella Stroller Race, The 1 Mile Family Walk, and the Fleet Feet Kid’s Fun Run.
Raising money for the greenways is the primary objective of the Gallop, and this year we are asking that each participant raise $25.00 in sponsorship donations. If everyone does just a little bit to help the greenways, the overall impact can be impressive. In just 3 years, Gallop 4 the Greenways has donated nearly $100,000 for greenway construction.
We will award Team Challenge prizes in the following categories:
- Most Money Raised Overall
- Most Money Raised Per Person — even small teams can have a big impact
- Largest Team
Grab your friends, get your co-workers involved, include your kids and extended family. This is a wonderful way to bring friends and family together for a great cause. Everyone’s support is needed and appreciated. Together, we can make a difference.
