Post Race Party

When the race is over, the real fun gets underway. This year the post-race party will be at the Down by the River concert on Reserve Avenue. Enjoy national music acts, great food, adult beverages, and plenty of activities for the kids.

Your race bib will get you free all-day admission to the festival, and you can purchase a second ticket for only $15.00! That’s $10.00 off the regular price.

If you don’t take part in the Gallop, you can still come to Down by the River by purchasing tickets through the Jefferson Center or on site. Kids under 13 are admitted free of charge.

Pre-Race Events
Come down to the river all day for the Greenway Festival (11 am – 6 pm) and Down by the River concert (noon-11 pm). Events will include active living vendors along Wiley Drive, free canoeing at Smith Park, a canoe shuttle by Float Fisherman of Virginia, a trike ride for kids, and inflatables at Reserve Avenue.
